Micah 7 Ministries Pledge
Inspired by the Black Child Pledge

I am an active member of our collective community and therefore committed to serving my sisters and brothers.  I pledge to dedicate my life positively impacting people.

I pledge to develop my mind, identify, cultivate and contribute my God given gifts, and my body to my community with a commitment to excellence

I pledge to always have a teachable spirit and share what I have learned with my collective community as we fight for justice and equality for all.

I pledge to honor my temple, recognizing my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within me which I have from God and that I am not my own.  Physical abuse to my body makes me less capable of protecting myself, my family and my collective community.

I will unselfishly share my knowledge and understanding with my collective community to assist with bringing about change most efficiently.

I will exercise discipline knowing that in the moment it may seem painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

I pledge to never hurt or allow others to harm my brothers and sisters for I recognize every man, woman and child must be physically, mentally and psychologically strong to provoke change.

These principles I pledge to practice daily and to teach them to others in order to unite my people
