Our Story...
Micah 7 Ministries is birthed during a season where hopelessness is rampant in society due to injustice throughout the land. We recognize that throughout scripture God is the protector and defender of the poor, the alien, the debtor, the widow and the orphan. It is essential that hope is restored and a commitment to pursue justice begins and ends with the body of Christ. It means doing what is right, what is normal. Justice is part of God’s purpose in redemption. Micah 7 Ministries stands for God’s justice and we are not only called to serve, but committed to the call of justice. We recognize that true redemption leads to liberation.
As disciples, we are called to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, We must teach the world everything we have learned from Jesus Christ and know that He is with us always to the very end (Mt. 28:19-20). The methodology of honoring the call is to meet the needs of the suffering spiritually, emotionally and economically. This includes the biblical mandate to clothe those in need, look after the sick and visit those in the prison. The entire world has the opportunity to maintain a sincere relationship with God for He promises to execute judgment for everyone, not a select few. We want the world to know that God pardons iniquity and forgives us all for our transgressions. He does not retain His anger but shows us compassion for the things of our past (Mic 7:18). Micah 7 Ministries embraces every individual who desires to focus on the future.
Justice also means deliverance, victory, vindication and prosperity for us, not just a few. If you recognize that you have made some missteps in your past but you refuse to allow that to define who you are, we invite you to honor the call to serve because we are committed to living a life of freedom. He who the Son has set free, is free indeed (Jn 8:36)!
